Crossroads Community Church offers a variety of ministries. I'm involved in more and more each day.
I teach Through the Word Sunday School for adults at 10:45 in Modular 2, behind the auditorium. We are currently in the book of Genesis.
On Sunday nights, I teach a Men's Study at 6:30 at Joe Bruton's home, within walking distance of the church. About a dozen men work through the tougher issues of scripture together - iron sharpening iron. We are currently in Judges.
Our Royal Family Kids Camp completed its second successful camp this summer and is in the beginning stages of planning for the 2012 camp. Royal Family Kids' Camps give abused and neglected foster children a week of great memories and a taste of hope. We serve the Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley County areas. Once a year Crossroads Community Church hosts a booth at the Fowertown Festival, simply loving on the people of Summerville and doing it in the name of Jesus.
Our men's retreat will be the second weekend in November. Details to follow.
I've taught through the School of Ministry course three times now. We're taking a break but I expect to begin again. The School of Ministry offers classes that mirror the foundation courses at many seminaries; theology, Bible surveys, apologetics, evangelism, teaching. These classes are for those who want to take their study of the Word to a higher level.
