They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, whereas angels, who are greater in power and might…  II Peter 2:10-11

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.  Colossians 1:16

•Limitations

Do not marry,  limited knowledge, accountable to God.

For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.  Matthew 22:30

…which angels desire to look into.  I Peter 1:12

… through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.  I Peter 3:21-22

•Purpose. Worship, serve, fight, carry messages

Bless the LORD, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word.  Psalm 103:20

And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece will come. But I will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of Truth.   Daniel 10:20-21

•Purpose – Nations. Guide nations, protect Israel, punish enemies

And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia.  Daniel 10:20

At that time Michael shall stand up,  The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people.  Daniel 12:1

And it came to pass on a certain night that the angel of the LORD went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand…  II Kgs 19:35

•Purpose – Believers. Reveal truth, interpret, guide, encourage, protect, deliver, accompany in death

It (the law) was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator.  Galatians 3:19

Then I said, "My lord, what are these?" So the angel who talked with me said to me, "I will show you what they are."   Zechariah 1:9

Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, "Arise and go…”  Acts 8:26

For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, "Do not be afraid, Paul…”  Acts 27:23-24

"Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.  Matthew 18:10

•Rebellion in Heaven

"How you are fallen from heaven,  O Lucifer, son of the morning!  How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!  For you have said in your heart: "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,  I will be like the Most High.' Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.  Isaiah 14:12-15

•Power and Influence

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.  Ephesians 2:1-2

…to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded.  II Cor. 4:3-4

For this reason, when I could no longer endure it, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor might be in vain.    I Thessalonians 3:5

•Limitations

Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.  Hebrews 2:14

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.   I John 4:4

•Destiny

He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.  Revelation 20:2

The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.  Revelation 20:10

•Presence - limited

•Origin

And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day.  Jude 1:6

Reality of Spiritual Warfare - Ephesians 6:12

•Sin and Temptation

If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.  Genesis 4:7

Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? Romans 6:16

•The World System
