Effective Teaching
Paul told his protégé, Timothy, "…the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others." This class will focus on the practical side of teaching. We'll start with the basics of preparation - how to study what was written, what it meant and what is the application for us. We'll examine various tools to make the job easier. Then, we'll move into methods of instruction - how to lead a small group study or preach to a larger audience. For the "non-teacher", the skills you gain in this class will help you share your faith with others, counsel friends, or explain passages to your children.
